Philippine Airlines is up to serve non-stop flight from Manila to Perth

Philippine Airlines is now ready to open and serve a new route commencing from Manila to Perth. This will be the first time that the said cities are joined together. It makes use of the new A321neo to operate the route which will fly four times a week effective in March 2020. The flight will operate with a specific frequency wherein it will depart in Manila at 00.05 flying overnight and arriving at Perth at 07:20. The return trip is scheduled at 08:40 and arrives back to Manila at 15:50.

The two cities are roughly categorized in the same time zone and at the same time, the route flies North to South, meaning to say, passengers can still experience even a little jetlag. The new A321 neo will be laid out approximately 12 seats for the business class in a 2-2 configuration set-up with no direct aisle access. It has 78 inches of pitch in a lie-flat mode which is not bad if flying down south. As pet the economy cabin, it’s set-up is a 3-3- configuration which has a 32-inches of the pitch. If you were to access it, the size is too tight for an international flight.

As per Paul Papalia, a tourism minister, he said that such set-up brought benefits to the region as tourism and even student numbers are set to fluctuate on the continent; Australia. To date, it has over 800,000 students recorded to fly and study in the country wherein the majority came from Asian nations. As we can see, international education plays a vital role in the tourism industry itself since each international student are able to attract at least 1.5 visiting friends and even relatives from their mainland on a yearly basis.

On the other hand, Perth Airport is set to win and even mentioned that the Philippines is a key market for its airport. Also discussed that the new route has the potential to increase the number in terms of inbound passengers which has a great impact on the tourism and hospitality sector as well as the international education market. In addition, it can also be a new holiday destination for those Australians’ looking for a place to go. Indeed, the Philippines is a great destination for West Australians’ especially those looking for amazing islands and beach offerings. Last year, almost 20,000 people had visited the country for a holiday.
