Online check-in for your airline

Most airlines now expect you to check in online before you reach the airport — and low-cost carriers may charge for airport check-in. This page links you straight to the official check-in pages and lists the deadlines that matter.

The golden rules of online check-in

Check in as soon as your airline’s window opens (typically 24–48 hours before departure, or 30–60 days with paid seat selection at low-cost carriers). Save the boarding pass to your phone and take a screenshot in case of poor signal. And note the bag-drop deadline — checking in online does not extend it.

Frequently asked questions

Is airport check-in free? At most full-service airlines yes; Ryanair charges a fee if you have not checked in online.

Do I need to print the boarding pass? A phone pass is accepted at UK airports; a printout is a sensible backup.
