Where to look for Ryanair aircraft

Ryanair is Europe’s largest low-cost airline and its biggest UK base is London Stansted; the radar above shows the whole of the UK and Ireland with Ryanair aircraft highlighted and all other airlines dimmed. You will also see dense Ryanair traffic around Dublin (the airline’s home base) plus Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Birmingham. Its fleet consists almost entirely of Boeing 737s, so the aircraft type in the panel is nearly always the same.

Tracking a Ryanair arrival

Meeting someone off a Ryanair flight? Check the arrivals board of the destination airport, for example Stansted arrivals or Dublin arrivals. For the expected time, then follow the aircraft’s final approach live on the radar.

Frequently asked questions

My Ryanair flight number is not found. Why? Double-check the prefix: bookings show FR, but the operating flight may carry a different code for Ryanair UK or Malta Air. Try searching by route on the departure airport’s board instead.

Does the tracker show delays? Yes, via the live boards; the radar additionally shows whether the inbound aircraft is already on its way.
