You do not need to install anything to track flights on your phone. This website is the app: the live radar, the arrivals and departures boards and the airline trackers all work in your mobile browser.

Add the flight radar to your home screen

On iPhone: open flightradar.co.uk in Safari, tap the share icon, choose “Add to Home Screen” and confirm. On Android: open the site in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, choose “Add to Home screen” and confirm. You now have a flight radar icon that opens full screen, just like an app.

Use two fingers to zoom the radar. Turn your phone sideways for a wider view of busy airspace. On the arrivals and departures boards, the page refreshes automatically. Keep it open while you drive to the airport and check it when you have safely parked.
